We all know how hard winter weather can be on our skin and lips, hair is no different. Those cold, dry winter days can really take it’s toll on your hair. Add in toques, hair pieces and continual brushing … and that makes for some really frazzled ends!!

The best thing you can do to minimize the affects of winter on your child’s hair is to get a fresh haircut. Something to blunt off those ends and stop them from breaking or splitting any further. It is always recommended to get regular haircuts (every 3-4 months for girls and 6-8 weeks for boys) but it is especially important after the harsh winter season. 

If you neglected to get a hair cut over the dry winter months and now need to get those damaged ends trimmed off, a great option is a short inverted bob. Another affect that the coming Spring weather will have on your child’s hair is an increased amount of static.
